Dr. Jack Atkinson is a dedicated Trustee for Equal Adventure Charity (EAC), bringing a wealth of scientific and technical expertise to the organization, with a particular focus on **engaging young people** with the charity’s mission.
Jack is a Senior Research Software Engineer at the University of Cambridge’s Institute of Computing for Climate Science. His professional life is centred around the critical intersection of engineering, software development, and climate science.
Much of his work involves developing and running **large numerical models** on high-performance computing (HPC) systems, creating the complex software necessary to understand and predict climate phenomena. Beyond HPC, Jack develops various other pieces of software, demonstrating a broad capability in technological solutions and problem-solving.
